1. Acceptance
By using mypecanbank.com or the Pecan mobile app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
Pecan accounts are available to Nigerian residents aged 18 or older with a valid BVN and government-issued ID. Loans are subject to additional eligibility criteria disclosed at application.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your PIN, password, and one-time passwords confidential. Do not share them with anyone, including anyone claiming to be Pecan staff. We will never ask for them.
4. Loans
Loan offers are governed by the loan agreement you sign at application, which discloses the principal, interest rate, tenure, total repayable, and consequences of default. Interest accrues at the rate stated in the offer; there are no hidden fees.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Pecan to (a) conduct illegal activity, (b) launder money, (c) finance terrorism, or (d) attempt to access accounts that are not yours. We are required to report suspicious activity to NFIU.
6. Intellectual property
The Pecan name, logo, and content on this site are owned by Pecantrust Microfinance Bank Limited. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission, except as expressly permitted by law.
7. Liability
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, our liability is limited to the fees paid by you to Pecan in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the latest version is always posted at /legal/terms with the effective date. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
